The committee may call a special general meeting at any time if at least fifty young shareholders who take shares worth at least one part of ten shares of the issued share capital or at least fifty young shareholders make a written request with their signatures or if the committee deems it necessary. When a special general meeting is called for, the following must be included:
(a) When there is a request for a special general meeting, the purpose of calling the meeting must be mentioned and the request must be signed by the requestors and submitted to the head office of the committee. In case of one or more demands, written documents signed by one or more shareholders can be filed.
(b) Clause (a) If the committee does not take action to convene such a meeting even within 21 days from the date of filing of the demand for the special general meeting, the concerned department of the Government of Nepal may call such a meeting.
(c) Under Clause (b), the relevant department of Nepal government shall adopt the same procedures as when the committee convenes such a special general meeting. But such a meeting should be held at the head office of the corporation, and no meeting should be held on a public holiday.
